What is an Audiologist?

 

A specialist in the identification of hearing loss and the rehabilitation of persons with impaired hearing. Qualifications: Each of our audiologists have earned their Master's Degree in Audiology. They have fulfilled the requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language & Hearing Association. They are registered to practice audiology and are certified to dispense hearing instruments by the Minnesota Department of Health.


Who does an Audiologist serve?

 

Adults, children, and infants are all cared for in our practice.



What are the advantages of working with an Audiologist?

  • Physicians and audiologists work together to diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate hearing loss.
  • All major brands of digital and digitally programmable hearing aids are available.
  • We are interested in helping our patients by providing services they need, included are medical diagnosis and treatment, a 30-day trial period on hearing aids and ongoing counseling/education with adjustments to hearing aids as needed. We also provide training in the use and maintenance of hearing aids.

Dawn's work history includes both clinical audiology and working for hearing instrument manufacturers. She is married with 3 children who are active in school, church and sports.  She enjoys watching her kids' sporting activities and spending time with her family.  They enjoy camping and going for walks.
